I have 11 years professional experience as a front-end web designer and developer. While working full-time at two marketing departments in UCLA before starting my own business, I pushed the envelope with fresh perspectives and quick iterations on multiple, concurrent projects. I wear two hats — designer and developer — giving me unique experiences in balancing form and function. My work has been nominated for a Webby (2003) and WPA Maggie Award (2007), featured in Variety (2008) and VanityFair.com (2008), and won a 2009 PRism Award (PRSA).
Testimonials
"Aaron is a dynamic 21st Century creative with experience in all forms of digital media, including web design and video. He is innovative, imaginative and eager for collaboration. I worked with him closely to redesign the UCLA web site and on many other projects, and he was always eager to burst out of the box and try something new. But he also knows his digital media blocking and tackling. I recommend this talented young creative to anybody looking to make a difference with their communications, their storytelling or their impact in digital media." — Jack Feuer, Editorial Director, UCLA
"Aaron has an ability to combine the best of design, technology and production with great communication skills. It's always a pleasure to work with him on projects — large and small — and we continue to work together. I'd recommend him highly to any team that wants to get things done and done right." — Scott Gruber, Web Designer and Producer, UCLA International Institute
"On February 27th 2010, a major earthquake hit Chile, and our first impulse as the leading importer of South American wine to the United States was to help with the relief effort. I am thankful for the design of our new website because it made it easier to communicate our support for Chile. We will be using our website to garner further humanitarian aid for the quake victims as we set up a program with the Red Cross there. Thanks, Aaron, for creating an effective, utilitarian design." — Juliet Rizek, TGIC Importers
"Expert. High integrity. Creative. Aaron designed my personal website in 2005 and reconfigured it for me in 2009. Aaron is as creative as he is professional, which makes it easy to work with him on design projects. I highly recommend his services." — Fay Johnson, Independent Consultant for Strategic Communications & Development Policy
"Aaron is an incredibly diligent, intelligent, and creative Director of Photography and entrepreneur. Thanks to his enviable work ethic, personal vision, and affable nature he has already succeeded in many ways as a designer, film maker, and friend and I know he will only continue to impress and inspire in his future endeavors." — Jaraad Virani, Filmmaker
"I've known Aaron for many years now and have witnessed him work through various projects of varying size and scope, and one thing that has remained constant is his ability to deliver high-quality product. Many of Aaron's friends and collegues, myself included, refer to him as a "Mover & Shaker" appropriately, as he not only creates great product, but is constantly looking to raise the bar for his own work and the work of those around him to ensure the best possible output for the project at hand. Aaron works well with other creative-minded people, and has even created very robust social networks with the intention of bringing together creative forces for social and professional expansion. Overall, Aaron is a great contribution to the creative community, a serious hard worker, and fascinating individual." — David Badgerow, Designer and Motion Graphics Animator
"Aaron is my web guru. I have yet to meet another person who has exquisite design sensibility coupled with a technical mind that can solve every web programming problem. He thinks outside the box and is driven by concept and not just decoration. I think Aaron would be an asset to any undertaking." — Susan Landesmann, Designer
"Aaron's FWD:labs is an amazing way to really show off your talents and network with others. Awesome. Great results. Good value. Creative." — Eric Szyszka, Screenwriter
